Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

All RIIDE vehicles support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Most vehicles support wireless CarPlay/Android Auto. In a small number of vehicles, you’ll need to connect using a cable.

How to connect (wireless)

  1. Start the vehicle.
  2. On your phone, turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  3. On the vehicle screen, open Bluetooth and follow the pairing prompts.
  4. Accept the permissions prompts on your phone.

How to connect (wired)

  1. Plug your phone into the vehicle’s USB port.
  2. Accept the prompts on your phone and the vehicle screen.
  3. CarPlay / Android Auto should appear on the vehicle display.

Bring the right cable

USB ports vary between vehicles:

  • Most vehicles use a USB-C port
  • Some vehicles use a USB-A port

To be safe, bring:

  • iPhone: a USB-C or USB-A cable that matches your phone (Lightning or USB-C)
  • Android: a quality USB-C or USB-A data cable that matches your phone

If it’s not working

  • If wireless won’t connect: toggle Bluetooth and Wi-Fi off/on, then retry pairing.
  • If wired won’t connect: try another cable (some are charge-only).
  • Restart your phone and try again.
  • Make sure you accept all permission prompts (contacts, notifications, etc.).
